About us
Welcome to the Chair of Economic Policy and Applied Econometrics.
The Chair is engaged in research and teaching on current economic policy issues, mainly in the areas of labor market research, welfare measurement, education and business cycle analysis.
Economic relationships are analyzed on the basis of real observable data using applied econometric methods. A major focus of the department is the evaluation of government interventions using appropriate identification strategies and thus make statements about cause-effect relationships while taking socio-demographic contextual factors into account.
