Gender equality and diversity
at the Faculty of Economics
Gender equality and diversity
The Faculty of Economics strives to create a university where research, teaching, student life, and work take place in a respectful and supportive environment. Our goal is for all members of the faculty to feel a sense of belonging and to feel welcome.
We view the diversity of perspectives, life paths, and experiences at Ruhr University Bochum as an essential foundation for academic exchange and progress. This diversity should be visible and actively integrated into everyday university life.
Within the Faculty of Economics, we are committed to identifying, reflecting on, and sustainably reducing discriminatory structures. Our goal is to consistently integrate and embed diversity in all areas – from academic studies and teaching to research and administrative processes – to consistently take into account and embed.
Together, we are building a faculty that embraces diversity and promotes equal opportunity.
Diversity and Respect
Diversity, respect, and a supportive environment are fundamental to us. We do not tolerate any actions or behaviors that undermine the well-being and rights of our students and staff.
