Prof. Roos at the Global Deans Forum in Shenzhen

As a representative of the Faculty the Dean of Research Prof. Michael Roos participated in the Global Forum of Deans of the Peking University HSBC Business School (PHBS) in Shezhen. On the occasion of the festivities for the 10th anniversary of its founding, the PHBS organized a meeting with 40 deans of Business Schools from around the world from October 23 to October 25, 2014.

Among others, the Ross School of Business of the University of Michigan, the University of Pittsburgh`s Katz Graduate School of Business, the Grenoble École de Management, NHH Norwegian School of Economics and the Stockholm School of Economics were represented. The meeting`s topic was "Connecting China to the World, Bringing the World to China - The Role of Business Schools". The representatives of the universities discussed together with senior Chinese representatives from business and politics how the economic and academic internationalization of China will continue to develop and what role Business Schools play in this context.

Since the beginning of 2014 the Faculty of Management and Economics offers a Master of Economics exchange programme with the PHBS of Economics. The PHBS is the Business School of the very prestigious Chinese University of Beijing and its campus is located in the booming southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. So far, the PHBS has the only fully English-language MSc programmes in Management, Finance and Economics in China.
